What Happens if Faults are Discovered?

If we discover concerns with your car that require urgent attention in order to pass the MOT, we will get in touch and seek your approval before starting work on these repairs, offering a financial quote in the meantime. We can also collect your car for you and drop it off afterward, and offer the use of a courtesy car if your vehicle is likely to be in the garage for any kind of prolonged period.

How Long Does an MOT Take?

The assessment itself takes around an hour, though obviously any repairs will take longer. We will discuss this work with you as soon as the MOT is complete.

What Happens After an MOT?

If your vehicle passes its MOT, you will be awarded a certificate of roadworthiness which keeps you legally compliant for a year. It’s essential that you keep this, but don’t panic if you do misplace it – we can provide a copy for a small fee. If your vehicle fails its MOT, you can appeal the decision and apply for a free retest.
